After seeing Elle Magazine retweet this video, I couldn't help but click on the link. This video takes you through five guys transformation into femininity. Throughout the transformation the guys comment on what the process is like, and ultimately how they feel at the end. There were some surprising remarks, but for the most part they empathized with girls on how long it takes to "put on their faces." After hearing this I thought, my make-up doesn't take that long, and yours shouldn't either.
There are some quick tricks I've discovered over the years that can greatly help cut down on the amount of time it takes to get ready every morning. I follow the thought that "if you're wearing make-up right it should look like you don't have any on at all." This is great advice for the everyday make-up look. I only use 5 things every morning when I put my face together:
- CC Cream;
- Setting powder;
- Matte eyeshadow; and
CC cream is amazing because it's a moisturizer, primer, concealer, and foundation all in one. I apply with a brush, not a blender, because it gives me an airbrushed look (I learned that at Sephora.) Then you just throw on a little powder, some blush, change up how you wear the eye shadow, add a touch of mascara and you're ready for the day!
Later this week my resident make-up expert, (AKA my friend Sarah from the University of Alabama) will be doing a guest post on her favorite types of make-up, different looks you can do with only a few simple items, and where to buy them.
Don't forget to check it out!
