All in College
There are certain things that every college student goes through their semester without wanting, then forgetting they needed or wanted it.
My freshman year I was so done and tired and I felt like I had had a cold for 3 months that I barely prepared for finals. I studied, but I didn't prepare, and I didn't do well. I didn't know how. Preparing physically and mentally for finals helps make studying for finals so much less stressful!
Before I got to college I never really took care of my skin. Honestly it drove my parents crazy how little I cared about washing my face or even taking my makeup off. But as soon as I got to college it was like my skin changed.
I always get asked how I wake up so early so consistently while at college. If you don't already know 4-5 days a week I start my day at 5:00AM and if I don't wake up at 5:00AM I sleep in until 5:30 or 6. This is partly because 2 days a week I work on campus at 5:45 in the morning, and partly because I just like it.
Going into my third year of college I've finally perfected how I study. Developing a study technique for college can take a while, you have to decide what works best for you. That's why I titled this post "How I Study" and not "How to Study".
My Day Designer obsession has reached astronomical levels. Over the summer I purchased a second Day Designer (one of the daily Day Designer for Blue Sky ones) solely to use to organize all my syllabi. I still use my classic Day Designer, I have an old post on how I used to organize it here, but I use it in a slightly different way now that I have a second one just for my classes.
I finally moved into my junior year apartment this past Thursday and it's been so crazy/weird! I am so not used to the level of adulting I've done this weekend. I've gone grocery shopping 3 times [oh my gosh groceries are expensive], I've cooked 5 meals not counting frozen ones, and I bought a rug at a tag sale for $8 and it felt like a victory.
Backpacks are a serious college staple. When I first went to college I was convinced the the tote bags I used in high school would be fine, and I could get away without a backpack - no. I was very wrong.
You know of my great love for the Day Designer, and maybe have developed one for yourself, you'll understand the importance of what I'm about to say - are you ready? Day Designer reached out to me to give you guys a DISCOUNT CODE for their Midyear planners!! (I currently use their Midyear planner!)
As you may know next Thursday I leave for my junior year of college and I couldn't be more excited! The last few weeks before I leave to head back to school are always hectic, but they're arguably my favorite few weeks of the year. I love getting new supplies and finding fun things for my apartment.
