Fall Favorites: Jackets
Jackets are my favorite thing about fall. No matter what you're wearing, legging, jeans, skirts, jeggings, a jacket can make the outfit exactly what you want it to be. Pairing a nicely tailored jacket with leggings can instantly dress up your outfit while pairing jeans and riding boots with a more unstructured jacket can tone done your outfit, making it appear more casual.
These are the 4 types of jackets that I think every girl should have in her closet:
A Trench Coat. Having a basic trench coat is necessary in the fall. It can be used as a windbreaker or a rain jacket, and the structure ensures that you'll always look your best no matte what's underneath. It can easily be paired with any accessory and still look amazing.
A neutral vest is essential. Through it on over a hoodie, a button up, or even a sweater with elbow patches if you're feeling extra awesome. It's cute, cozy and definitely can fend off that cold fall chill.
A military style jacket. I am absolutely in L O V E with my military jacket. It's the focal point of any outfit I wear it with. The army green color is characteristically fall, and the lightweight structure of the jacket is definitely prefect for wearing it over a sweater. And the best part is you can dress it up or down.
Denim goes with everything. Denim is a neutral. Owning a denim jacket is something every girl should do. Through it on over a t-shirt and sweats or with some black jeans and your favorite riding boots. Denim isn't just perfect for the fall, it's amazing year-round. With so many uses it's virtually impossible to run out of ways to wear it.
