Who ever said living in a dorm meant having to eat gross dining hall food? Well here at UMass I don't have to worry about the dining hall food being gross, but a nice home cooked meal every once in a while doesn't hurt. My roommate and I decided we wanted to cook dinner for us and some of our new friends and took the bus to target, duffle bags and all, to get the supplies. It cost about $35.00 which seems expensive (especially if you're in college), but we split the meal with 5 people so in reality it was only about $6.00 each.
The meal was Garlic Butter Shrimp over angel hair pasta and it was honestly one of the best meals I think I've ever eaten. Even our RA wish she hadn't already eaten dinner so she could enjoy it with us. If you're not the world's biggest fan of seafood, like me, you can still enjoy this recipe the sauce the shrimp is in is AMAZING. Definitely a must try for everyone.
Writing this post makes me glad I have leftovers. Try it out and let me know what you think! I guarantee you'll love it!
