how to Stay Organized Everyday
Lately I've felt disheveled and rushed and I realized it's because I haven't been staying on top of all of my tasks. Staying organized daily has always been important to me for the sole reason that I feel so much better overall when I know my day is organized.
A huge part of being able to keep ourself organized is planning ahead. Every Sunday I try and make time to sit with my planner and write down everything that needs to get done that week as well as any events or activities I have going on. I write all of my events down first so that I can see how much actual time I'll have to complete my list of to-do's each day. It's much easier to cross off items on your to-do list when you give yourself the appropriate amount of time and designate a specific time to do each one rather than just try and accomplish them all sporadically. I also set myself up for the next morning. What I mean by this is I make sure my Kuerig is full and my favorite coffee is loaded, I decide what I'm going to wear (and if I'm feeling ambitious I lay out my clothes,) and I pack my backpack.
If you don't break down your to-do list into smaller, daily, lists then I highly suggest you start. It can become so overwhelming that you may not be able to accomplish as much as you would be able to if you were looking at smaller, more easily completed, to-do lists.
The tools I use to plan my week include my Martha Stuart Arc Planner and my DailyPage Notepad supplement that I bought from the Etsy retailer Thyme is Honey.
I love my DailyPage because it allows me to just look at what I have to to Today instead of getting overwhelmed by always looking at what I have to do all week or all month. It also feels amazing every time I cross of even one little to-do of my list. Using a separate daily planner like this one can really help keep you calm and organized.
What're your tips for staying organized everyday?

P.S. Make sure you plug in all of your devices before you sleep. Waking up with a fully charged laptop and phone can minimize your stress because you know they won't die on you in the middle of the day.
