Peanut Butter Protein Shake Recipe
I love protein shakes. I don't know why but I just do. I fell in love with them at college because our University gym has the best protein shake/juice bar that I would always splurge on after a workout.
My favorite shake at school was their peanut butter protein shake, and during my first week home from college it's all I could think about. I ended up finding a juice bar near my new gym that made a very similar one which made me happy. Until I realized I was spending $7 on a protein shake everyday.
With the help of my gym rat boyfriend I found the perfect recipe for a peanut butter protien shake that you can make at home! It takes all of 5 minutes to make and it might be more delicious than the schools.
Recipe: one serving
- 1 cup of vanilla almond milk (or skim)
- 1 cup of ice
- 1 serving of your favorite chocolate protein powder
- and a scoop of your favorite type of peanut butter
